Project Indigo at the Archives will provide young LGBTQIA+ people in Hackney the chance to develop skills in first personal writing and creative design to create a zine that archives their experiences as young queer and trans people in Hackney. The project will explore the value and ethics of archiving stories as LGBTQIA+ people and the importance of this for future generations.

This is a closed event for members of Project Indigo. Project Indigo is a youth group that offers a safe, supportive space in which to meet other LGBTQIA+ young people. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQIA+ or is questioning their sexuality or gender identity. If you would like to join the group, come along any Thursday 5.30-7.30pm or email Project Indigo HERE

As part of LGBT+ history month Project Indigo have curated a reading list for Dalston Library, which you can check out at the library throughout February 2024.
