Chinese & Lunar New Year Celebration

In partnership with Hackney Bridge, Jun Mo Generation proudly presents Hackney’s spectacular Lunar New Year Celebrations 2025. Everyone is invited. Expect a vibrant celebration of Hackney’s East Asian communities and cultures, featuring cultural dance performances and unique musicians, Southern Lions, Chinese Dragons and family workshops, all welcoming in the new year and new fortune ahead. Food will be on sale from Hackney Bridge food stalls.

Free family crafts at Hackney Museum
Saturday 25th January and Saturday 01st Feb
Visiting Hackney Museum on a Saturday? Take part in our self-led craft and drawing activities! We have commissioned Maria Than an amazing Vietnamese artist to create a set of special drawings celebrating Chinese, Lunar and Vietnamese New Year. Come colour-in and get crafty!
All activities are self-led (this is not a facilitated workshop), with instructions and resources provided. Drop-in anytime between 10am-5pm.
