Welcome to Hackney Black History 365. Here you will find events, educational resources and information on how to celebrate Black history and culture on a year round basis.

Hackney’s Black history caught on film! Revisit some of the most important and significant moments of our borough from Veronica Ryan’s sculpture unveiling in 2022 to our legendary Windrush Day parties over the years.

Devised by teachers ‘Hackney's Diverse Curriculum - the Black Contribution’ will enlighten young people with an education not just about the history of Black people, but about a history that belongs to us all. Resources are suitable for Early Years through to KS3 and 4 students. Available to everyone. Just request access!
