Join in the Windrush 75 celebrations with Uprising Community Club’s street party. Open to everyone of all ages, the street party includes music, poetry, dance, food, and reflection on the journey of Hackney’s Windrush generation.

The afternoon will have musical representation and delicacies from across the Caribbean, theatrical tributes in the form of poetry and puppetry from children recreating the Windrush journey. Plus a fun fashion show performed by members of the Windrush generation, showcasing the range of attire worn in the late ‘50s and ‘60s.
