Hosted by Lisa Ogun’, these warm and supportive writing sessions are for African and African-Caribbean women looking to hone their writing skills, share their creative voice and feel inspired by listening to others.
Lisa Ogun' is a Black, female, disabled artist of African & Caribbean heritages, possessing a variety of creative skills, which include writing; journalistic theatre-reviewing and sub-editing; performing; directing; choreographing; producing; dramaturgy; crafting; and creative workshop facilitation. Between 2014 and 2022 Lisa led Cardboard Citizens’ creative writing workshop Writers’ Circle and she currently facilitates Life-Writes creative writing workshops at ODAC. Lisa is co-writing and co-producing two plays: one an international initiative to raise the awareness of the hidden issue of African Diaspora immigrant homelessness, and the other to expose the scandal of rogue landlords.
