Clare Summerskill’s latest verbatim play, 'At the Rainbow’s End', is based entirely on interviews with older LGBT people who have experienced homophobia and transphobia when receiving ‘care’.
The play contains testimony from two older lesbians, an older gay black man, and an older disabled trans man. Artemis Theatre Company will present a script-in-hand performance at the May Scott Studio, Hoxton Hall on 1st Feb 2025. The play reading will be followed by a Q&A session between the audience, the playwright, the actors, and ‘expert’ panellists. The performance will raise awareness about an important and topical issue, opening up a wider conversation about older LGBTQ+ people’s concerns and very real fears about accessing and receiving care in later life.
