This Black History Season Hackney CVS will have our annual Black History Exhibition. We are again asking all of you to donate your books, figurines, pictures, cultural clothing, banners, flags, anything to celebrate Black history. Last year’s exhibition was stunning and we want to make it even bigger this year. All of your donated items will be labelled, monitored and returned safely to you. Please contact reception@hcvs.org with any enquiries or to make arrangements to drop off or collect items.

On 30 October in collaboration with Tottenham Rights, we will be hosting an amazing exhibition, War Inna Babylon, facilitated by the renowned activist and community leader, Stafford Scott. The exhibition includes a selection of photography, conversations, talks and films looking at Black communities struggle for truth and rights.

• It will start with a lunch at 12.30 to 1pm accompanied by Black female African drummers.

• The exhibition presentation and workshop will be from 1pm to 4pm.

• There will be a reception to relax and network from 4pm.
