Homerton Library Writing Group

Hosted by Ngoma Bishop, these empowering writing workshops are for budding writers of all ages to become better writers or make friends and build their confidence through the sharing of experiences of others in a similar situation.

Ngoma is a Barbados born and London based African song-writer, short-story writer, novelist and performance poet. Ngoma has been a community activist and educator for over forty years. He founded House of Amau, Dalston’s African Heritage Writers Group and the Hillrise Elders Writing Group in Islington. His first novel Spread Your Wings and Fly was published in 1986 with a re-edited version in 2022 and his poems and short stories have been published in a wide range of magazines and anthologies.

Last Monday of the month at Homerton Library 6.15-7.45pm (excluding bank holidays) – no need to book, just turn up!
