Hackney Writes: Annual Showcase

On 28th November 2024 we held our first writers showcase- Hackney Writes.

Seven writers groups from across our libraries came together to share their work. We heard from an exceptional line up of emerging and established writers.

“It was one of the best, most inspiring and most inclusive literary events I’ve ever been to. The strength and depth of the work, especially the poetry, was phenomenal. It says something about Hackney that you’ve been able to do this in a library, open to everyone."
