What’s new? Exciting project in Daubeney Fields

Angela from Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground talks to landscape architect Callum

Since the start of the programme, local people have told us how important outdoor spaces are in helping you to be active.

Mabley Green, Daubeney Fields, the Olympic Park and canal towpath have all been mentioned as important places in the area.

Over the next few weeks there will be some tidying up of trees and shrubs in Daubeney Fields, to prepare for the opening up of some of the entrances to the park, to make the park a more welcoming and accessible space.

The opening up of the entrances is part of a wider project to make some positive improvements to Daubeney Fields as a place in the community that supports people to be more active.

There are some exciting elements planned, such as an outdoor gym and improvements to the adventure playground. Working alongside local partners we will be encouraging everyone to get involved and let us know your thoughts.

Please look out for further information locally and in the April edition of this newsletter.
